hey there all,
so i've have my 102" whip for awhile and finally got around to buying a ball style body mount to install.
what i found was when i took off the rear inner panel was that the inner wall and outer wall (truck body) was a little too far apart to mount this sucker up. am i gonna have to cut an "access" hole in the inner wall so i can mount this piece to the outer wall?
i hope i didn't confuse anyone....
peace.

I did that this december. One suggestion, if you are using thee ball hitch I am thinking about throw out the three screws that come with it. With a little drilling you can replace the srews with grade 8 bolts. These will help make sure the ball mount stays on the Blazer.

so you did have to cut an "access" hole to mount it? i was thinking about adding stronger bolts anyway....
thanks!

Put one on mine a few years back and had to cut a section out of the inner wall too. Some quality time with a wizzah made it easy though. Use some aggressive screws though. Grade 8 bolts are a bit excessive though I think.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!!

Almost forgot, check and make sure you have a good ground plane, and match the antenna!! Fried a set of finals by trying to rush it.
