Does any body know where I can order and buy a roll cage for a 72 blazer? Or does any body have one in good condition for sale?

How much of a roll cage are you looking for? If you mean a roll bar with kickers for the rear and front too then you can get that from smittybilt inc. I think someone said S&W Race cars will make a nice rollcage setup for our trucks but I am not positive on that one.

Thanks BlazerGuy!
Mine was custom built and I wouldn't doit any other way!
To make a safty cage is much better than bolting together a bunch of pipe and calling it a cage! I found my cage maker by going thru the yellow pages and calling around. Every person that said no we don't do that I would ask "Do you know some one that does?" and eventually got a YES!! 300 bucks later I had thishttp://www.burt4x4.coloradok5.com (http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1479942&a=11146039&p=38920236>http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1479942&a=11146039&p=38920236</A>

I talked with the fabricator at a local race car shop. He hates doing sports cars because he's BIG (about 6'-2" and 260 or more). He looked at my Blazer and said that he could do a race-legal type of cage in there (all seamless DOM tubing, reinforcements, frame tie-ins, etc.). About $1200 was his estimate.

Steve, who did you get to do your cage? Mebbe I can get him to do two for my hunting buddy and me...

StevO it was a guy that owens SanJose Pipe Benders near the SaddleRack on Auzerriears(sp?) or something like that, down the street from 4WPs in SanJose. I gave the dude photos of my cage when he was done so I'm sure he still has them! If he still owns the place????

Burt the link doesn't work. Who welded your cage for you? Was everything precut from the bender or did you have to notch the bars to fit? I'm in San Jose and looking for a cage too.

No, Steve. I talked to Frey Racing (they build and/or maintain a lot of SCCA and NASCAR Winston West race cars).

Yup, Photopoint was free back then, they started charging so I quit using them.
The guy did all the bending welding and notching right there in his shop. I helped by holding the other end while he worked his magic.
I just tried looking him up in Yahoo Yellowpages but nothing came up! I have a feeling this guy is no longer there/forums/images/icons/frown.gif
Start asking the local speedshops who make cages.....
Good Luck
