The only thing off the top of my head I can think of that looks like that is a tailgate hinge. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I don't know the name of the part but is it the part that on an automatic tranny, the shift rod connects to another piece of linkage that pivots on a piece of metal that looks like that /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I'm with Tazz. it the piece on the frame rail for the shifter linkage to pivot off of.

Never saw a closeup of a 69 K5 but I'll say something to do with the windshield wipers where the arms pivot???

My first guess is the hardtop bracket, my next would be the tailgate hinge/trunion, then lastly the shifter linkage piece. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thats kind of what I was guessing too, or maybe some kind of cable spring mount for the ebrake cable?

yep look like a rear mount

I know it's one of two things.... I'm just not sure which one it is.
