So it's a F*rd, so what! It is very sweet! My dad used to have a 68 that was the reason my parents met (my mom thought it was someone else and waved, my dad started hiting on her and the rest is history) so they always liked them. My dad says he has missed his since the day he sold it. I'm going to either trade my LeBaron for it straight-up or try and sell the Lebaron and buy it. What do you guys think - besides the fact that it's a F*rd? It'll be a good surprise for my dad!

Blaze,
The fact that it's for your Dad makes it okay, hell it could have been a yugo. But if it'll mean something for your Dad then go for it. Dad's rule, at least the good ones do, and we (as children) often forget to show are appreciate for what they've done for us. Eventually I'll find a 59 Impala and make it my father-son project.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

I Like it.... Only F@#! car I ever had was a 89 Mustang GT ... custom paint... *sigh* My buddies all called it a pu$$ magnet hahaa... was fun, but not fast enough. I wouldn't mind finding a nice 61 Fairline like my Ole man had... he'd get a kick outta it. But of course if I got it (he'd never want it... he'd just wanna ride in... he's not a car guy) have to put in a 390 FE or big 460 with a blower LOL http://www.coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Yeah, my dad is my best friend. He's going to be the best man in my wedding and everything. I bought my 75 Firebird with the intention of being a father-son project, but he doesn't know anything about Pontiacs and has only helped me a few times. I figured since he's been talking about getting another Stang and he really knows his way around a 289/3spd combo I'd get this for him. That way we can kind of have a father-son projects, he can work on his Mustang while I work on my Firebird. Can't wait to see his face when I pull up in his driveway with it!

Well...it is a Turd....but I'd say go for it. Good luck!!! I know how the dad thing goes. I inherited a Mercedes from him cause he didn't have room for it but he didn't want to sell it. It's a '77. He bought it new and it brought me and my little bro home from the hospital when we were born. I plan to restore it and put a bigger Diesil in it and give it back to him even though he doesn't know it.

A Disgustang?!?!?? <GRIN>
Hey, I say if it rocks your boat (or your dad's), go for it. Sounds like it could be a cool bonding experience.
Can't rightly say that I've ever owned a F*rd. I've had mostly GM product and Toyotas.

Dad's are awesome.. so Good luck Blaze with the Mustang..
My dad brought me home in his 1966 Chevelle w/ a 350 and 4 speed. Wasn't a SS.. but he added the hood and the rally wheels.
Ever since.. I've always wanted a 66 Chevelle..
But I live in Texas.. he is moving to Maine.. so no resto-father/son project for me... At least my dad got me hooked onto turning wrenches.. everything I've learned.. i've learned from Dad.. !!!!
Get that Stang. !!! Love the body styling of the old ones..
Let us know how it goes.

Odie, the dog, reminds me of my Siberian Husky everytime I get near him. He's just a spaz. He also leaps through the air like deer do. He's just over 1 year so he must still have the pup in him. Drives me crazy. LOL

Definitely, Joe! Those are sweet rides!
Here's the deal, the guy with the Stang above sold it. I've got a line on a good 68 for $2200, but I've got to sell my LeBaron first because the guy isn't interested in trades. I've got a friend who might have an interested buyer and she also works on 67-68 Stangs, so I WILL be getting one soon! Woohoo!
