I started my 59 p/u today for the first time in about 6 months.I had the cables on it for a half hour and I could only get it to chug a bit.Well like usual just had to give it one more shot...Chug....chug..BOOM(Loud a$$ backfire)...and it was purring like a kitten. The BOOM scared the hell out of the dog though, she went from the middle of the yard to the inside of the house in about a half a second, and pee'd on the floor to boot.
I'm gonna try to get a pic posted tomorrow. Can you say UGLY?

Sorry Shags but my time is worth a whole lot-o-dough,and I got a lot-o-time into the suspension.Ok so I'm the only one that thinks I'm worth anything(ask my boss) but to be nice,NO.Plus, the wife thinks she's gonna drive it and she'd kill me.(notice how I said "thinks" hehe)

Yep,I grafted the front and rear suspension from a 79 Vette onto it.
4 wheel independent suspension,4 wheel disc brakes and power steering.Still need to convert it to "Power" brakes, not enough cash for that right now though, and too many other projects in the works.

Awesome truck (the pissin' boy's gotta go tho, that's a riceburner thing). I've got a 56 GMC and was thinkin' about vette rear suspension. What's the measurements? What year?

I used a 1979 Vette. It is narrower and has a hump in the frame over the "Axles" so I'm still not sure what to do with the bed.Had to cut the bed sides out and will need some small tubs inside when it's all said and done with.

We've (me and my hubby) have a '56 GMC that we're restoring. It's gonna be a 4x4 with a 383 stroker. We've graphed an '84 blazer front end (the frame and axles) onto it. It's got a 205 and 10 bolts which the axles will be upgraded. We'll prolly run 33's on it. I know someone who's done something similar to what you're doing with a ford. don't worry, it's chevy powered so it's okay!

I'm gonna make a sleeper out of the 62 c10 my grandma gave me. Got to get a motor first (hopefully 400 or bigger), and get it out of the shed. Plan to get it out in a couple of weeks when I'm back down there. Gonna leave it looking like crap too.
