That would be just gnarly.... Make a wicked project - or tow rig with a diesel swapped in.

Someone here HAS to buy this thing, I sooo want it, but with a kid in the oven I HAVE to cut back on the projects.

What a massive support vehicle it could be for a rock crawler, tow your rig to the courses and have enough parts with you to build another buggy.

I have a line on a 66 carryall with similiar setup. PTO winch, swapped in 402BBC,465,205 and 38.5 groundhawgs. It has a closed knuckle front and is kind of a mess right now. But for $500, its not bad. And don't ask where its at cause I'm not tellin.

The one on Ebay is a 1 ton panel wagon with a Napco 4x4 conversion. The conversion only uses 3/4 ton closed knuckle axle with drum brakes. So a Dana 60 will still be needed to use it right (as a 1 ton hauler).

I've seen one of those converted to a suburban style seating with suburban windows before, but never seen one that was 4x4 since the factory only offered a 3/4 ton regular wheelbase Suburban with 4x4. Didn't even know the Napco conversions were still being offered after 1959. I'd love to find out if that was done at a GMC dealer or if they had to find a Napco dealer.
