Here's something that I have been talking with Steve about and wanted to check interest levels.

Obviously its easier to gauge how interested you are if you have a price but was just curious if people would want to paint these themselves to match their trucks of if blue and white powder coat would be the way to go. Steve your input here is appreciated as well since we had discussed blue and white powder. I'm just trying to keep costs down and cater to the DIY guy/gal.

that's sweet. I pick'd raw cause I like the Idea of painting it myself, so I can match my coloe scheme. plus it keeps the cost down.

ence though it will drive prices and you ight not be able to cut it with your set up but what about the cut out being SS.

be cool to have a colored back groung and a stainless ck5.

would love to hear a price,

what about a plain one with no hitch on it just the ovle and ck5?

I'll have to try one out of stainless sometime. Haven't had the opportunity to mess with stainless much. I stay pretty busy with just plain old steel. Got some aluminum projects in the works so maybe an aluminum backdrop and tube with a colored ck5. Then their is the whole electrolosis thing. I don't want to mess with the plan too much as this is also up to the man. His logo...

a nother idea for these. if you look at the first pic it looks like a sweet belt buckle. ya now that would be great also. and how much for just the ck5 emblem with out the hitch unit, so i can bolt it to the sweet spot on the truck. thanks.

I'd PIMP :pimp1::pimp1: it. Would have to paint it, too shiny for my taste.

I'd take one in stainless too, just the logo no background so I could put it on the tailgate banner ... or on the fender where the K5 emblem use to be.:pimp:

Cool. I would like to have one with just the "CK5" and no oval.

So when can I buy one?

Are they laser cut or routed. We have a CNC router and they told use to stay away from cutting stainless if at all possible. Probably not as big of a deal with a laser though.

Soon as all the details are worked out with Steve they will be available. It's looking from the poll results that most would prefer raw steel. Then there is a good number of folks that would prefer just the emblem. I think that would be doable as well. I'll post up again tomorrow with some prices.

I vote raw, I'd paint it black and bolt it to the body somewhere. Sweet idea, would make a cool hitch plug or if you just had the emblem would look a lot cooler than a sticker.

very cool. I say plain steel... i like to paint my own stuff.

I doubt I'd use one as a trailer hitch cover thingy... but using it as a badge on the body, like right below the "jimmy" one on my front fender would be pretty cool. Can you make pretty much anything like this? I always thought it'd be cool to have an all new metal badge made that was the same 'font' as the factory one but said "K35 Jimmy" on it..maybe D60 / 14b in smaller letters below it. That would rock and definitely throw the emmissions-testing people off. lol!

Most anything. Only thing that has to be kept in mind is the detail can get small enough to where it doesn't look so good anymore in my opinion. K35 would be no problem but the dana 60 14 bolt depending on how it was layed out. That would be pretty cool though. Let me know if you want me to do something up for you.

Ok, lemme get something drawn up in CAD or something and run it by ya to see what ya think. Would you prefer AutoCAD or FormZ? :)

been busy as heck lately so I haven't messed with this yet... I will though, if for no other reason than to sow confusion among newbs and emmissions testing people. lol! I have pretty much no time to do this kinda thing right now. My parents have a bunch of landscaping they are paying me to do... so I work from 9am-1pm doing that... and from then until midnight Im at my real job/commuting. Makes for long days. ;) anyway, yeah... I'll design something soon. Maybe I'll export it to form Z so I can do a quick render and post a pic here...

I could do the badges in aluminum and leave them so they could be screwed on rather than welding studs into them.

Mine is a Chevy at heart

I want a bow tie one :D, can you make me one that's just the logo, no receiver setup?

Do them all the time in just the badge alone. Haven't spoken with the man yet on incorporating the bowtie. Don't feel right just running off and using his logo without some communication. However, I have done one just for testing purposes and then gave it away.

Maybe I missed this reading through everything earlier, but will these fit on the Burbs with stock 56" springs without having to swap sides?

These will fit on just about anything! :haha:

I think your in the wrong thread. I believe you are thinking about Flip N switch kits. In which case yes they should bolt up just as your current hangers are.

I run two of them on my K5. I left them raw, but put some clearcoat on them. I raised the K5 off of the background with a nut as a spacer as well. Looks pretty darn nifty if I do say so myself. I'll see if I can find a pic...

Thanks! These are stud mounted guys so keep that in mind. Basically a fender badge. Poke a couple quarter inch holes and nut it on the back side. DONE!
