side armor will be an additional option. Pics are pretty limited right now. I'll add more as I get them.

How does the side armor attach on the tire carrier pivit side?

Haven't gotten back at the side armor. Will be working one up for a suburban with barn doors soon. When that happens I'll get into the side armor.

What's your lead time on these rear bumpers? Do they come bare or painted? Also, what would freight be to 92065?
I kindof like your front bumpers too. Your site shows two types of front bumpers. Is the shorter hooped one available with a winch mount? Also, what's the price on one? You can PM me that if you like.

Just out of curiosity..
i remember reading a post a few weeks back about the pivoit point on the tire carrier breaking...don't think it was your bumper..but a similar looking piviot point.
and i was wondering if you or anyone else has made any changes/upgrades to address this problem..
because i really want to get my full size spare out of the back of my blazer, and was all set to get a bumper like this, until i read that post..

I read that post as well. It is critical with this type of tire carrier for the swinging portion to be supported at the other end and not allowed to bounce. Ours always has been and always will be.

Okay, where do I sign up for one, and is a winch box an option?

You have to call to order the larger items such as bumpers. Tracy can take your call monday between 9 and 5 central. If you have any questions about it call me at the shop.
Is this going on a blazer?
Winch box? you mean like a multi mount?

The bumper will be going on an 88 K5. By winch box I mean a winch mount similar to what would be on a front bumper. It's not an absolute requirement but it would be nice.

It would have to be mounted really low. Got any pictures of what you have in mind?

Here is mine installed. I made a license plate mount that kills two birds with one stone. First it gives a place to mount the plate and it covers and locks so you can't unbolt the wheel. DIY4X makes a great bumper!

Did you ever come up with some side armor for the rear bumper? I saw some pics of the old 4x4 iron design and thought it would work great on your bumpers plus I saw it in use and how well it saved the body from rear damage.

I did a quote for somebody for the side armor. Basically the weld on like you've seen on other bumpers of this type. I haven't as of yet built one. I'll be parting the shop truck, it has one of these bumper, It'll be going on my crewcab and then I will build the side armor for it. Side armor kinda interferes with the tire carrier too.
