hey yall
we got a 97 grand cherokee and i was wondering what the signs are of a bad tranny.
i think its goign bad.
the specs are a stock 97 grand cherokee thats 2wd and auto.
has 82,000 miles.

There are three bad signs that I can think of,one on each front fender and one on the tailgate. They read J@@p grand cherokee!http://www.coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/wink.gif j/ k, they've had alot of problems with those, Just one of those things . Every thing after (I think) 88 = new tranny, but I'm not sure...http://www.coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Burnt fluid, slipping. Most tranny shops will do a free test drive.

yeah it slips from 1st to 2nd when its cold.
thats h ow mine started out doing on mu blazer when its tranny died.
