Does anyone in the Vancouver area have a sandblaster I can rent/use/borrow. I have another set of springs I need to clean up and I'm tired of the the grinder and wire wheel.

Yeah I was using a grinder, flapper, and wire wheel. I just got tired of it. And I went down to Harbor Freight yesterday and bought one of the sandblasters on sale. Now I just need to find a cheap air compressor on craigslist.

Which blaster did you get? Also, be sure to get a compressor with at least 15cfm. Anything less will just piss you off.

I bought a little 20lb pressurized blaster from harbor frieght. I've been trying to find a good deal on a air compressor on craigslist, but no luck so far. I never realized it takes that much air until after I bought the sandblaster.

yeah, my pos little compressor is good for like 5 cfm... you pretty much need the kind of compressor a contractor or big shop would have. 15 cfm is a lot of air. The HF blaster may be cheap, but that comp prolly won't be. :( maybe you could recoup your $ by renting it out to fellow ck5'ers? :)
