I know the feeling. I got a little too happy with the wire cutters removing an old Viper Car alarm form my K5. Now its voltmeter time to figure out what got cut by accident. Atleast I have a back up plan for Tellico....

well, just taking a lunch break...

Got the motor/tranny in, but the heads are hitting the fire wall, and it appears the oil pan is hitting the cross member. As it sits now, the motor is back out, and the crossmember is out. I'm going to bolt the cross member to the motor mounts to make sure everything will fit. I also need to persuade the fire wall:D

Pics will come as the day closes.

Get to work Steve!

I've broke the tradition today.....my rig is ready to be loaded, instead of the usual night before rush. I finished the new exhaust, fixed ps, new ubolts and spring plates. Then installed the gooseneck hitch on the old F350. Just need to pack the tool boxes and load the truck.:wink1:

Oh yeah,

Get to work Steve.

3 Days to go :D Any new pics ?

steve_kibbe
07-12-2006, 07:13 AM
Sorry, no new pics, but progress was slow yesterday. I was only able to work on the power steering a little and the t-case. I got some metal today for my battery tray and hold down. I'm hoping to weld that up, run battery cables, empty gas tank, make a plate to cover heater opening, mount primary fuel filter and electric fuel pump and plumb it all.

If I get all thet done, then I'll get to work on glow plug wiring and mounting the radiator.

Soo much to do, I might have to take thursday off:D

Steve dont let these guys bring you down. We can have a "1st gen thanksgiving run" this year (hopefully). That way we can invite all of the guys with "new trucks" along.:D Of course we will have to invite the guys with tow rigs (John and James:wink1: )

Well, I only got to work until 5 today...

I got the fuel lines ran, emptied the gas tank, finished the power steering lines, connected the vaccume lines, and made some battery cables.

I'm going to jump on it in the morning and hope fully fire it off... Then I'll have to mount the boggers, weld mufflers to the exhaust pipes(hmmm straight pipes:D) I have a full day ahead of me.
