Y’all wanna do a wheelin’ event the 21st of October?
Around the middle of October, the leaves should be near peak for the colors. Be great out in the woods, in amongst them with the top off……..what’cha think???
I have to work the weekends of 14th and 28th, and 4th of November will be to late, I imagine.

Well, if we do it at Uwharrie, maybe there will still be in color there November 4th. That late in the Blue Ridge, Brushy and South Mountains, it's pretty much over. But the Uwharrie mountains are a bit father South and East.
How about that?
Smell of Autumn/Fall in the air............nice!!!
What do y'all think.......................November 4th???

Ill just have to wait and see about comming. I would really like to and with this far of an advance notice, I may be able to swing it. I want to wheel real bad right now but just dont have the time or money right at this moment. Anyways, I think october is a good date. Ever since I first started going to uwharrie about 5-6 years ago, they have been open till mid december. October should be nice.

If you come up, you could stay at my place friday night, and then we could leave early am on saturday, since I figure you'd take I-20 to 77 or something like that. If not, we could hook up friday and head up there. Only a couple of hours north from my house.
I'm pretty sure that I will be ready by then. If not, I'll just tag along.

Anyone interested in a group site? More parking a little more remote, showers/potties are still available? If we have 10-15 people going, it may be a better deal. Well unless some people like privacy afforded by arrowhead (sarcastically:D )

I've been working on that. Best spot is center dash. But it blocks drivers view and gets glare from windshield. Anywhere outside truck it is prone to getting tore off. Gyro/shock mount would be best but very pricey. The window mount I have works great videoing out to sides but not to the front.

Tim and everyone.....
I have FINALLY convinced my wife that she and the kids need to come and share with what I love to do. So, we wanna bring the popup camper so they can live in the outdoors. Group camp, or sharing a campsite is wanted by me. Let me know.
Hopefully, at minimum, I will have a rear bumper on the thing, as well as a winch (depending on when I get it and can pick it up) and some tires. Travel pay has been good for me lately.
Definitely looking forward to the weekend. I look at taking the kids out of school a couple of hours early and heading up on Friday.

40$ a night, split so many ways?????? Too much math for me.
"Badin Group Camp was developed for use by clubs, families and other groups. The camp includes three separate areas each with tables, grills and tent pads. Two toilet facilities , water spigots and showers are centrally located to serve all three sites. A $40.00 fee is charged per site per night. Reservations must be made prior to camping in this area. Each site has a 15-35 person capacity. To make reservations call 877-444-6777 (toll free); TDD 877-833-6777; or visit the website at "

Is anyone bringing parts? I sure could use some 35" mounted on standard 6 lug rims, and a 14/60 combo. I have a set of stock springs, some really nice rear shackle hangers and a stock ****CHROME**** rear bumper to trade for all that.
You know you want it.

Hey hero, you are as bad as I am.........."hopefully mine will be finished..........." If you need a place to ride, drive the wifeys car, then hitch a ride. Im ready to see the tahoe do some flexing on something other than a ditch in the frontyard.:D

Well, DPG didn't take out the Blue Goose, so we'll see if URE can fair better. I've gotta repair a body mount, replace the harmonic balancer, figure out some wiring on the tail lights, and check out my front d/s. It's wobbling a little. Either way, it'll be trailered in and out, running street pressure just like I did at DPG. Airing down is for females! HAHA!
Who knows, I may even have the front narrowed by that time. Time will tell.....
D60's are over rated! D44's are where it's at!

Weather can be from 80 degrees to 30 degrees. Won't know till that week really. It frosts in mid October usually, but not every year. If it is cool, it warms right up if the sun is out. Beautiful crisp day with 75 degrees would be nice, leaves falling all around!!! :D
It would be better if its cool at night anyway. Cold is fine, but hot is miserable.

OK guys, talked to a FS ranger today. All we have to do is call the number or reserve the site online. Gotlabs posted the link a few pages back. Real easy process. Since there are a lot of you that will be up the whole weekend, how about one of you reserving the site, and take care of collecting the money from everybody. There is a slight chance I may not make it up till saturday morning to ride.
Thanks,
Clay

Probably won't trail ride but maybe one short trip and do something with the family the rest of the time.
Oh ran into a guy who just moved here from LA (lower Alabama) a little bit ago at a school open house. Said he might try to make it for the run. He just moved to the area but he doesn't drive a K5. I think it is a 4 Runner, with an EXOCAGE. From what I hear a really capable rig. Will update as schedule or what have you changes.......

Got to give those boggers some breathing room that's what...putting drive shafts together today, cutting fenders and making a ladder bar for the back and the EXTREMETAHOE will be ready to break something else.... Let's hope not......Looks like me and the wife will be camping out Fri. and Sat.
