CK5 - The Full-Size GM Off Road Community

Hey guys, got some new door panels for christmas, I painted mine...6 years ago when I redid the interior (damn has it really been that long, bout time to do it all again) anyway after they got used for awhile, taken on & off a couple times, the paint is chipped on the drivers side, and the passenger side is dominated with half the paint missing.

Anyway, the new panels I am wanting to cover in either cloth to match the speaker rack I have behind the seat, or a vinyl/leather. Im wanting to reuse all of the factory trim, arm rests, etc, does anyone have any tips for covering these things and still being able to bolt on all the trim? Ive covered flat stuff, but these panels with all of the compound curves are going to be fun. Any tips would be appreciated.

Dude just take it to a car upholstery shop and let them do it.

sander, denatured, contact cement, heatgun and patience..

i used to do this for a living...there is no real trick i can tell you i just learned from practice...a few tips though

if you dont have a spray gun that can be ruined then use the 3M glue...super90 is the only one i use....i think its like 15 bucks a can at home depot...

let it tach up real well before you lay the material down....

lots of practice....deffintiley buy some extra material

with him being so rich. prolly new new lol

wish I was rich, but new new from chevyduty (or whatever they are called this month) they finally came out w/ a reproduction style instead of just a replacement style, so they can actually use the factory trim. Only problem is they only come in gray or blue and I have a tan interior.
