I have a 83 CUCV M1028 with about 57k on it I am parting out.
It has the Dana 60 front with 4.56 gears and the 14 bolt with a Detroit and 4.56's. I am asking $1600 for the pair or best offer. I am not interested in shipping them at this time, maybe later if they haven't sold locally.
The transfer case, radiator, doors, and a few other misc parts are already gone. Let me know if there is anything in particular you are looking for and I'll let you know if I still have it.
The truck is located in Homer, GA.

SOLD!

The front is stock for the 1028. I thought they were open. I could be wrong.

Fyi, a 1028 front axle should have a Track Lock limited slip.

Thanks for the info. I just assumed it was open. I'm originally a Jeep guy and am just getting into the Chevy stuff.

yeah, it should have a LSD...thats a steal for someone wanting to run 1 tons with big tires with a non OD trans...or for trail only.

Are axles good to go? Or do they need brakes seals etc. Would you be willing to meet somewhere in the middle of the state? Thanks!

The truck has only 57k on it not much wear on them, however it has been sitting for a little while and the brake rotors show surface rust. I see no leaks so I'm guessing the seals are decent, but you really will not be able to tell on those until you run it an get them warm.
I have a sale pending for the 1st week in June. If that falls through I will post and let you know.
