The black, locking type. It also has 4 (count 'em - 4) cup holders and 2 trays for holding various small items such as the pen already pictured.:D

Not sure who makes it. Bought off of E-Bay. Said itwas for a police Impala. Bull@#$% (Bull@#$%).
However, filled underside with spray foam insulation to get rid of hollow sound, and Painted black. Had to trim rear so that the rear junktray and cup holders extended into the rear seat area for those pasengers. Turned out good. Has room for Q-beam and junk and 4 cup holders.
Cost $32 plus $20 S&H

Shutup Ward!:haha:
I do like the cup holders... I'm just looking for an alternative to spending $250 on a Tuffy box... need to find a way to install a cd player in it.

The covered compartment inside (locking) is divided into two sections. One (the front) would be fine for most CD players. But why get a CD player? Get an I-Pod Nano for about $60 and an FM transmitter for it and run tunes through the FM stereo. I love mine and eliminated the need for the stack player I was planning on using.

HEy I just got those same seats last night. They look great in your K5.
How did you mount them in there? I know with bolts and power but was there any secrets or just straight up. Any info to make the swap easier?
What are you going to do about the shoulder belts for the rear seat or are you just going to use the lap belts?
I like the bumper also. Where did you get that?

Bracketed the seat frames on one side to match up with original holes. (turned out they were less than an inch off, so we didn't have to change the floor pans to accomodate.
Purchased rear lap belts from LMC and have just lap belts for three passengers. Bolted them to the floor with 6" plates under the floor pan for each bolt.
I have the rear seat from the pickup, narrowed to fir between the wheel wells that gives head rests for rear seat pasengers. It's available should anyone want it. Considering mounting it on a carry tray fititng into the trailer hitch receiver to be used camping, or at the beach. Who knows

Also, there is about an inch of slide that can be trimmed to enable the seat to travel fully to the rear. It hits the floor before getting fully to the rear.

If you can, can you take a picture of the way they are mounted with the brackets.
Thanks.
What about the bumper? Where did you get that?

Will get pics this weekend.
Bumpers from Kennesaw mountain accesories. You can find them on internet.
Be sure you pin em down on del time. They can back up and be SLOW.
They were good to me however.

Transmission shop tells me that the seals on transmission all dried out, will have to be replaced. Now for the bad news: The transfer case will not engage into 4WD even with the shift mechanism unhooked tryuing to move levers with a screw driver. They will pull the transfer case and see what the problem is. Could be small, or................................................ ....
Oh well. Knew it wouldn't go together without some kind of set-back.
With today's price of gasoline, I think that it's possibly cheaper to work on it than it is to drive it.

Transmission complete rebuild- that sucks. Never send one to Kaiser and son in Saraland!!!
Good news is the transfer case is fine, linkage was froze up. Good call guys.
Still cost too much though

Transmission Magicians built the one in my old crew cab and did a great job (not necessarily cheap). If it's not too late you may want to shop around.

John, did they do any of the work for your 400's?
nvrenuf
06-18-2008, 11:44 AM
No, they rebuilt the 4L80e in my crew cab.
My 400 was built (twice over 5 years, and is dead again  ) by JW Performance Transmissions in south Fla.. I'll accept the blame for the first 400 failure but I don't think the second was "justifiable". If I ever go back to an auto I'll have it done locally so I can have a face to face type of warranty. :deal:
