It's about time to break some bread! For any of you folks that would be interested, whatcha think? The last 2 times we got together in Gulf Shores & P'cola, How about something over the Ms line this time for the west side guys? Readymix had suggested a bbq joint called "The Shed" -

That sounds pretty good, If we can figure out a date that i am not already commited to the firehouse. Mid November would be best for me.


You plan on staying the night or heading home that evening. Are yall bringing the wifes? kids? Prolly couldn't carpool with the kids. I have 2 of them.

Where are you, outside Jackson or Brownsville. I grew up in Bartlett so I don't exactly recall where all the smaller cities and towns are. I haven't lived there in 20 years.

I am an hour north of Memphis on highway 51. Area is called Munford. I use Memphis for my location to make it easier on everyone.

I know where you are. We used to travel up to Dyersburg to get to MO to visit the grandparents. You are looking at a 4 to 4.5 hour ride to me and then another three to 3.5 south to the coast.

You are welcome to stay at my house or I am sure we could stay in Hattiesburg with Justin. He seems like a raging brother with room to spare!:haha: Anyway, don't worry about having to make it down and back in a single day.:wink1:

I'm about 2 1/2 hours south of Jim. That would be a bit of a haul for me as well. Not to mention I work 2 weekends each month. I do have the weekends of the 15th and 22nd off though, but that isn't going to do any good. :(

What is the closest airport? I'll see if flight times work.

Probably Mobile, Biloxi is also close of that works.

I might have a job coming up down in Pass Christian in a couple weeks, If its approved in time, I could be down there around mid-November. Its only about 20 mi. from Pass Christian to Ocean Springs. :laugh:

Damn Scott, what do you think we actually do with these trucks. You can't drive them anywhere, they may need to have something else done in ten miles, just because you want to, not because it needs it.:D

Ward, considering you're drive (and possibly hooking up with Boz & others) what time of day is best? Once we nail down a time I'll start a new thread.

It would be about three hours for me to get there. If Boz and some others come from Memphis, that adds another 4 hours or so. Mid-afternoon would be about right I think. I will have to make it a day trip though. As long as I am at the house the morning of the 23rd and not complaining about no sleep i will probably be in the clear. :D

So 2:00 or 4:00 or..? Maybe talk to Boz (since he's the longest ride) and get a feel for a good time.

I should be good for the 11/22. If there are enough people, I can hold 7 people in the wife's minivan.
