Hey all.

Does anyone know what the stock equipment on this truck was? I know it has a 350 and a 14sf, but I don't know what tranny, transfer case, or front axle it has. Anyone know? I would almost assume 700/208/8-lug-10-bolt, but wouldn't the K20 have heavier stuff than that?

GM put either 10 bolts, or D44's on the front of almost everything... Tcase is most likely a 208, although not sure. as an example, my 73 K20 has a D44 front, which is basicaly the same as a GM 10 bolt front.

I'm pretty sure that the 3/4-ton 'burbs of that era came with a Turbo 400, instead of a 700R4. 1/2-tons got the 700R4.

Bummer... I was hoping it would be a 700.. I'm looking at this truck for parts... Although a 208 would be good news, I'd have something to put in while I rebuild/reseal my 208...

Thanks for the response all.

55willy, let me know what you find under your dad's burb!

I had a 1975 Sub and that had a 14 bolt ff out back, an D60 in the front, with a 350 4 bolt, TH- 400 trans, and a NP 203 full time T case, and both of the axles had 8 bolts holding the stock 16.5'' rims on. hope this helps.

What is that thing you speak of? Ford? Never heard of it.
