i've heard that moab will find your truck's weakspot and attack it. so i wanna have some spare parts with me. i have a tbi 350, th350, np241, 8-lug 10 bolt front and a 8-lug 14bolt SF out back runnin 36" TSLs. what should i bring? (my sub has 152,500mi on it so things are a little worn)

oh and i found a dana 60 at a 'yard but it's drum brake can it be converted to discs? if so, i'll buy it and have it swapped in by the time moab rolls around.

I would bring all you would need for a road side repair for the trip there...betls and hoses, all the fluids, spark plugs, fuses and light bulbs. then bring for the wheeling.. u-joints, form a gasket(silicone), maybe an extra set of hubs, and front axle shafts(unless you get the 60 worked out)

I'm sure there will be mor epost on this the closer we get.

Oh yeah and YOU would need a set of Burb Rock Slidershttp://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/wink.gifhttp://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I'll model your merchandise for you... of course, the 100,000,000 million miles away thing makes that kinda hard, but youknow... the main thing I'm looking for are some Affordable Sliders... a lot of people sell sliders, just that they also want 400 bucks for them. with a price like that, I can afford to get some tubing, a bender, and screw up 6-8 times... (harbor freight sells a cheap bender for about 90 bucks, good for pipe from I htink 1/2 inch to 2 inch, wiht various degree turns) oh well... perhaps I'll get into the welding class at MCC, and learn how to do it all right...

It's a wheelbase thing, you wouldn't understand.

Another thing I see alot of people not bringing on the trail is a spare tire that is close to the size tire you are running.I see lots of people running 36s and a 29" spare or no spare at all.

What do I know,Im just a Ford guy http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/smile.gif.community.webshots.com/user/beaterwhang

If you want to see some cool pics of a Sub wheelin' at Moab, check out http://www.4lo.com/moab97/burbncrack.html (http://www.4lo.com>www.4lo.com) That's the spot that I recommend that stock rigs avoid unless they thrive on body damage. http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
