My friend has an 86 2x4 Sub with 33s. He wants to lift it 2" or 3" but has not been able to find a lift kit for it/forums/images/icons/frown.gif
Do any of you all know were he can find a lift kit for a 1986 2x4 Suburban?
Thanks for your time!

A friend of mine has an '85 K5 frame that he is looking to sell cheap. Does your buddy want to make his a 4x4? It's in San Clemente Ca.
Here's a link to Fabtech's lift kits for 2wd.

if its a 1/2 ton, then he should be able to get a standard pickup truck front end lift from Fabtech. if its a 3/4 ton, then he's probably screwed, unless he wants to fab a setup himself. I've given up looking for a 3/4 ton lift kit for my burb. another option might be to find a wrecked 1 ton pickup ( 2wd) and pulling the components off that... they made them ride about 2 inches higher then a 3/4 ton, or 1/2 ton. that'll give you about the lift you're looking for. you can also get newer springs up front from a 4x4 shop installed. this'll help lift the front end a little, but you're still really limited in what you can do with the 3/4 ton.
