dan, i will be there with a few friends (3). hopefully in a 79 bronco and a 95 jeep. i can bring some snacks(chips, cookies,etc.). i assume everyone should bring their own refreshments right?......too many people would want too many different things to drink for someone to bring it.

I will be there with a few friends. Probably about 6 total. We'll bring some snacks and some sodas. Hopefully I'll bring my Blazer but my carpet is up and we're welding up the seat mounts. It started to rain on us last night while welding so hopefully we get both sides done by Sat. If we don't get it done, I'll have to bring the heep.
My buddies will probably be in an Expidition and 4Runner.

Marsha and my self will be in the DuneRunner
and I'm still NOT sure about my Dad, if he and my Mom will be cruzen in the JP or the Tahoe. I'm still working on him.

I think I'm meeting some of the guys on 101 at the coyote creek golf course exit at around 8:30-8:45 Which means we should be rolling in to hollister like 9:30- 10 I would be guessing?

I'm coming, have to bring our old trooper. I don't think my wife would let me trail ride her new one. My wife and daughter may come too. My daughter just got her permit, is there an area where she could practice driving there?

O.K. Dan what's the deal. Is there going to be an official meeting and photo shoot or just an informal get together with some trail riding? If photo shoot then I may trailer down my rig just to have it in the picture. Of course it still doesn't run yet. I think it's still soggy form it's bath!!!!!!!!!!!! If I go either way I'll need a seat to ride in while there.

I just found out that we're gonna have my buddy, Bobby with his stock Tundra come out to run some moderates with us. That makes me (hopefully my K5 if not, the heeper), my friend Ron (with his Expition, we just installed a 2" day star lift i the rear), and my friend Eric with his stock Chevy 1500 Z71 pick up. We'll be sure to pack up some grubb.
The cab in my k5 is gutted right now and we're patching up holes in the floor. So far so good!

O.K. this just makes me want to take the rest of the week off and rebuild my motor. I will have to wait on the FI 454 as my motor money has been significantly reduced since they took out $2500 in taxes from my Ecuador contract. I didn't expect that much to be taken out. So the wife said no $2500 for a FI 454!!! I will pull and go through this 327 and install one of those new Q-Jet carbs and throw away that edelbrock performer I got. That will be good enough for now. I really had my heart set on the torque that FI 454 would put out though.

I will be just sick with all those trucks there and me having to sit on the sidelines!!!

Tranny in the trooper was making noise in 2nd and 4th and the wife wasn't sure about taking it. Went by a gearshop in S'vale today found where the noise was coming from. Torn shift boot in the front under the dash. Was hard to see and what a PITA to change it. New boot from Isuzu was 52.00 and some change. But now we're good to go. Will know by sat. if my wife and daughter are coming too.

I P.M.'d you with the info. I will be there. Hopefully with my Blazer to get it into the group picture even if we don't unload it. Also I will be trying to sell my 38's and pick up a few parts from other members.

Wow its been like 5-6 months since ive posted anything on this board.....last time i was in hollister i met gokartergo and dunerunner. How you guys been? Well after i thought i tossed the motor on the way home that day, the beast sat for 2 months...started it up one day and its been runnin great ever since..the motor is a little weak though...Ken, what time you leavin from fremont to head down there??? I might just trailer her down that way if she does brake i have a safe way home...See ya guys soon..Brian

Talking about thinking you blew your moter. In '75 I was stationed at Hunter Liggett. Did a big burnout in my '69 Mach 1 after being egged into doing. Right after that my oil pressure was going down, water temp goimg up, and there was smoke coming out under the car. Stopped at Jolon to look it over. While looking for something wrong under the hood. A kid comes up and asks what I'm looking for. Told him I thought I might have lunched the motor. He pointed at the oil filter and asked if that cut in it was the problem. Never was so glad to see that was all that was wrong. I had broken the left motor mount doing the burn out and the motor torquing over let the oil filter hit a sharp spot on the fender well. Put a new oil filter on and filled it up with oil. Then went to the auto shop on base and chained the motor down tight till I could get a new motor mount installed. I tell you on Spec 4 pay I didn't have the money to fix a blown motor.
