hey there all,
just recently i saw a device that used your vehicle's body as the antenna for a CB radio. it looks like it attaches w/ a magnet or something then has foul wires the stick out and are soldered (sp?) to the body, then it has a antenna cable attachment point in the center. has anyone even seen/used one of these? would it even work very well?
also, can i find mirror brackets that will clamp onto the GM style curved mirror arms?
thanks!

I have not seen the "body antenna" for about 10 years, last time I seen it was in JC whitney. I would not trust it, I cant figure out how the thing would work since it has a load side and a ground side. If the body and frame is the ground how would it get the load? I have that Truck stops have the largest supply of CB accessories. I found the mounting bracket you are talking about that fits the curved mirror mount. Mine grounds fine and works good. I use a 1.5' firestick for trails and a 102" whip all the other times. IT hits trees and stuff so I have not been useing it alot.
