I just recently joined an off-road club and I need a CB. I'm not looking for the top-of-the-line model but, I am looking for one that works. I live in San Antonio, TX 78209. I am willing to pay shipping costs.

Don't know where in Texas you are, but here in Louisville, (Kentucky) the city police department has an auction twice a year (spring and fall) where they get rid of all the unclaimed crap they've accumulated over the year. You can usually pick up some pretty good stuff. Years ago a friend bought a box loaded with CB's for like 5 bucks. They all worked. He resold them for 20 buck a piece! Made a killin'!

There is 2 ways to get a good CB without having 1 sent to you. First if 1 of your CB buddy's has time go hit your local truck stop and get on the CB and ask if any uddy is selling any "radio's" you will usually get a response. The second is hit up a pawn shop they usually have no idea what a CB goes for and you can get a killer deal with them not even knowing you just stuck to em. Lok for a cobra 19, 25,or 29 they r pretty com'n and do pretty well with kicker's if you want distance.
