got a Cobra LTD 25 classic today
i know nothing about em,
are they good?
i can also exchange it for the LTD 29 for the
same price when they get more in,
ive gotta learn about cb's
any tips for a newbie?

Basicly the same radio with a few more nobs and switches to play with.

The 25 is a good radio. Go get it "Cleaned and Serviced" though. It will preform much better. I think the 25 is what I have, have not pulled it out of storage in a while. Need to get it installed one of these days.

the 29 has a built in SWR meter is about the only significant difference in the two. The older 25's would talk circles around the 29's if they were tuned right. I have several of both and like them all.

I had one of the 29's made in the phillapeans. Best AM 40 channel radio I ever had. Ran it with a Valor power/echo mic and a 102" Stainless Steel whip antenna in a 85 Monte Carlo. Was consittered one of the loudest radios in town.
