CK5 - The Full-Size GM Off Road Community

I'm looking at possibly picking up a late 90's crew cab long bed dually for a tow rig once my truck goes on the trailer. But, I'm building a gooseneck trailer now that will be pulled by my truck and the willys will ride the trailer, but what I need to know is the height of the bed on a stock truck? I need to make sure I build enough adjustment into the coupler on the trailer so it will work with my truck and the new one.

If you can't find anyone with a dually, I can measure my stock 97 K2500HD. Should be a couple of inches lower.

I have a '92 Chevy x-tra cab long bed 4x4 Dually. I am running 33" tires on it.

The bottom of the rear of the bed sits 34" from the ground. Let me know if you need anything else.

Well it makes a big difference if it's 2 or 4wd.
I can check that for you here on site i have all kind of chevy's just let me know which one.

A lot of the production trailers I`ve looked at are adjustable. That way you don`t have to do cutting welding and fabing if you want to hitch your wagon to another truck. Just a thought. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I know, and mine will be adjustable but the couplers are only adjustable about 10". So what I'm trying to figure out is if there is 10" of difference between my truck and a stock truck... If there is more I have to essentially make the coupler bolt on to a flat plate with a series of bolt holes so I can raise and lower it even more. But I don't want to do this if I don't have to so I'm trying to figure it out... Anyone know the measurement???

I sent you a PM on NCBD, but the lowest I found was 25" and it was a loaded truck, the emty one was 28" to the ground

Uh, no I didn't but I'm looking for a stock rigs height... If someone knows the height of the stock tires I could figure it out from there... But iceman already got me the info so it doesn't matter anyway. Thanks.
