I just broke down and began working on the K5's narrowed rear. I know myself if I didn't just break down and attack it I would go back and forth for a year about it so I just went for it. So yeah here are the pictures:

Line Marked

Started cutline

Almost done the cut

Fender seperated

What it takes to hold a fender up with one man

No more floorpan

No fender, can see my halfcab where I started the narrowing.

Narrowed floorpan, where the fender will mount at the back of the rig.

Mocked up fender, reall crude mock up

Another crude mock up, I figure at the back the fender will be moved in about 13-14 inches.

Yeah I was real careful, went really slow so the blade didn't grab and took the guide off so it wouldn't beat the fender.

You definitely have the right idea starting with a straight body. Its way easier than trying to get straight lines on a mangles one. Looks good, once the quarters are hanging on their own and you can stand back and look at them youll be thrilled.

Tearing her down, can see the firewall hack at the left.

Hehe I like it, too bad she'd get all muddy like this.

Plan to cut the frame off right here for better approach.

Pretty sway bar mount, can tell that thing was working top notch huh?

Extra parts you always seem to have in such things

Pretty body bushings, when the fenders were unbolted I literally just lifted the core/radiator support out with no trouble.

no dad's forcing me to get moving on everything so the rear won't be for a bit. He wants his garage back so he can put his race car in there that he won't be racing until late next spring.

ha well he wants his shop cause hes gonna pull the motor out of his one race car(has 2 circle track cars) and rebuild it to a little hotter performance. So seeing as there is 5" of snow on the ground he can't do that in the driveway.
