Hey does this club usually meet in NO or BR? I been thinking about checking out the local club here in BR but if the Broncos meet in BR I might go there instead.

if you are talking about louisiana 4x4 don't waste your time. As much as some people say to come to their meetings and diversify you'll see real quick they are only jeeps on more than one occasion when I have been to their meets they ask "Where's your jeep?" and when you explain "WTF are you doing here then?" Granted its not everyone there but they will tell you they aren't fullsize friendly and they do plan around jeep only events such as jeep jamboree.

In 2BB we take turns meeting between New Orleans and BR. Got a few rides scheduled, I'm actually events coordinator for the club. Almost strictly fullsize, no membership fee, and just out to have a good time. Check the members rides out and the forum.

that is what I was looking for. I went to LA 4x4 website and only saw one fullsize. 2BB looks like a good club I will keep my eye on when the next meet and greet is scheduled. The trail rides look great but my luck I have to work every weekend one is scheduled.

thanks for the info

Many people are discouraged by the name but we are working on that .... /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif It actually sparks convo when people see the name and wonder where the 2 big broncos are....it was just TOOOO big for the trail.

I'm from Baton Rouge. I finally found a blazer a month ago after looking for about a year. Sold the Jeep.

I was in the La4x4 and it IS centered around smaller rides - Jeeps, Toyotas, IH Scouts, etc. My ex-Jeep would scrape tires between trees on the trails. Right now though the club is not riding at all - lost their insurance policy and can't find a company to write one. So, some members are going in groups (not as club) to Barnwell Mountain and to Oklahoma somewhat often. I think fullsizes will fit on those.

I'd also like to go to a club meeting.

Where does anyone ride around here? Not that I'm ready yet. 14bff is sitting under carport waiting on brakes, 8 lug wheels, and a d60 front.

I'm in Lafayette. Not much of a wheeler but if there's a need for an extra hand or a mechanical mind, I'm in.

I'm in Baton Rouge as well. I have a 72 Blazer scattered around my back yard that I am trying to find the time and money to put back together. If I don't blow my refund on a 4-wheeler, it will go a long way towards getting it back together.

Josh, what time is the meet and greet. Mark gave me the day off since I have been covering so many shifts lately. If I get up early, I might be able to put the scout back together in time to drive it.

700r4 Just got it home on friday planning on swapping it on sunday. If you need a trans built or axles Gear Tech in Jackson Miss is excellent. Uses ORD parts and manufactures alot of his own at a great price.
I was just in pep boys on Tues I'll have to look you up next time I am there

MuddBudd, how long have you had your first gen? Also, if you are looking for any parts I will keep an eye out for you, I try to check the yards every once in a while. If the weather ever clears up, I'm going to try to get a group trip to the yards lined out for a Friday. We can put together a list of who's looking for what and see if we can't help each other out especially since we are scattered all around the state. not much left here body wise for the first gens but every once in a while I find a yard with a couple.

I saw a "new" first gen in Baton Rouge the other day. It is a red 2wd. This is the first 2wd I have seen around here. Judging by the condition it is probably a transplant, or possibly a resto that was recently finished. If its a resto that started off here, he kept it off the road a lond time, or did't drive it very much at all. Any one know him?

Well my blazer fried a PS pump last minute and gave a few more foul ups so I didnt drive on this trip....here is the album, it'd be nice to have more fullsizes, but all in all it was fun!
