This is my first posting of a picture. It took me forever to teach my self how to create a webpage to do it. I hope I did it right.

Shoot, it did'nt work. I think the file was too big. I'll try again later.

Former Florida Cracker here. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif Grew up in Ft. Pierce, just a little north of Palm Beach. Went to school in Tampa and lived in Melborne for a few months. But the grass was greener elsewhere, so away I went! Moved away in '79 and have only been back for family visits since then. The family moved to Austin, Texas so now I suppose that I'll only be going to Florida to take my kids to see Mickey (and empty my wallet!). /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My first wheelin' rig there was a '71 Jeep Wagoneer. Didn't know much about what I was doing, but I sure had fun with it! I did grow tired of picking swamp vegetation from the underside of it though... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif That stuff would be clinging to every part of the suspension after a day in the mud. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Man, I'm gettin good at this pic post thing. Check out this Blazer I think I might buy. I've realized it costs to dang much to build one like this myself even though its always cooler to build it yourself. I wouldn't rightly know exactly how anyway. Heck this Blazer won't be cheap either if I get it. What do you think?

Wow, not many Florida Crackers are members anymore. Welcome aboard, you'll find alot of entertainment region here in the SE section and quite a few wheeling trips going on throughout the year, although you might have to make a good drive from Florida to get any good trails

Hey 79Stomper,
I bought the dually so it could multitask. Haul my non Chevy offroad vehicles to where I want to go, then go in and get them if the break. But, as you know, we NEVER break anything!!!

IS there a trip in the works

I'll be there in a couple weeks.

if trip means roads, I wouod think that when we talk about trips here, we are not talking roads. So, I will ask, anyone getting an offroad trip together soon?

There is one this weekend in Uwharrie but not worth the drive from Florida. We just had our Annual Tellico run a few weeks ago so probably nothing big until sometime next year. Some people in Alabama migh tbe planning something down there at Gray Rock but not sure. I am sure they will see this and post up if anything is going on.

Towrig is a great tool, glad I have one. Now all I need to do is assemble the trail rig to wheel

I haven't been here (CK5) in a LONG time so I've lost track of who's who. I still recognize a few names but don't know most. I had some serious medical problems (back) and life was put on hold for a year or so. I met some folks on another board when I moved here - NWFL4x4 or something like that - but lost track of them too.

I haven't wheeled, camped or hunted since 2004 - right before I moved to Flora-duh, and the truck sat for a good while. I need to fix a few things just to get it road (off-road?) worthy - brake lights would be a good thing to start with (I think it's a broken wire).

Anyway - I renewed my membership and I'm gonna start lurking (and commenting occasionally) again. The forums look TOTALLY different so as soon as I figure out how to post pix, I'll do so.

I think I'll check out what's going on in the lounge. Later!

I went to Duette and it is really closed down for wheeling. I still have 40% to explore tho.

Welcome back behemoth, although I'm new.
