CK5 - The Full-Size GM Off Road Community

i am trying to build a 14b front axle but i cant get the rosette welds drilled,burned or whatever,how has anyone done it,i plan on using crane kingpin inners and outers should be tuff enough.

I just use a torch and burn through the welds and through the tube. It's about 1" of material, just work around the edges pointing in and cut little by little and it will pop through the wall of the tube in the center and then just work your way out till the weld is gone and your to the cast housing.
