With 35's and overdrive I would run 4.56.

welcome thierry......

if the trans is an auto with OD.. minimum 4:10's, 4:56's would be much better...

you also wont need that much lift with 35's... you could get away with 4" with a little trimming... also 3 body lifts are a little problematic... I generally like to see people keep it to an inch or 2.... ORD makes a 1"

http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/oneinchlift.htm

maybe run just a 6" suspension... or better yet a 4", with a 1" body...

Many thanks for your answer , yes the trans is auto and there is an overdrive and I have already buy and received the complet lift kit in 6" skyjacker and the bodylift 3" performance accessories ,

and you think that 4.56 is better than 4.10 ,

and what are the problems with the 3" bodylift?

what is the good ratio for the same condition than stock with this 35"

many thanks for your conseil

4.56 without a doubt. The 3" body lift requires quite a bit of work to get everything set up to function as well as look right, but I cannot comment on all that entails as I did not body lift my truck.

Body lifts are nice for working under your truck on transmissions, other than that I don't really like them. I feel that they Are only for looks and don't give you any added performance. it may be okay with your auto, but My friend has a 3'' lift on his 84 chevy 1/2 ton, with a manual transmission and whenever he presses in the clutch, it pushes the entire cab back. they are super hard on body mounts, his are wasted

Your ten bolt should be the same as shown in this chart:
http://coloradok5.com/axleguide.shtml

The Detroit locker is awesome in my opinion. Great off road.

Here's a gear ratio calculator:
http://www.4lo.com/calc/gearratio.htm

You could google your transmission gear ratios if you don't know them to put in the calculator.

I'd say 4.56 is great choice. I love the ORD body lift 1" as well... I'd definitely recommend it.

Welcome to CK5 !

The detroit will be a good locker for you. I have one in my 10 bolt and like it.

If your 10 bolt is the orginal you will have a 8.5" with 30 spline axles.

The 8.6" were installed in 1999 and later GM 1/2 ton trucks/SUVs
