as promised I have updates

started the chop on the cab 3" to be exact and with no prior experience with chopping tops I hope i'm headed in the right direction
I consulted a buddy of mine who does body work for a living and his advice to me was "it's a bitch" so we'll see how this all goes

here's what I have so far
my process started with getting the body level then measuring up from the concrete to equal distances all around the cab and then 3" up
from those first lines to make the chop section, this created a bunch of lines I later connected with masking tape to create two straight
lines all the way around the cab i followed for my cuts

then i marked four points on each side of the cab and ran tape to each of those points across the roof making a "+" on the roof so i could cut it into 4 sections

just for an easy visual comparison here's an old pic of the rear window

also got my hubs and rotors assembled

You're going to leave all the dents and dings right? Sweet ride man, I wish I was brave enough with sheet metal work to attempt something like that. When I had my V8 S-10, I wanted to chop the top and do suicide doors on it with the old school 1/4 turn door handles. Just never had the nerve to try something like that.

Im leaving the majority of dents in but I had to pop a few big one's out of the roof otherwise it wouldn't line up. Im leaving the bullet holes in the back of it though.
