i can tell ya, ya have a nightmare... you'd need a remanned drive at that point.. vertical shaft work on that drive wouldn't be cost effective for me to do with shaft prices and labor... I just did a bravo 3 one, the shaft alone was $1500... a new bravo 3 is about 5, 6 grand tho...

and honestly, I wouldn't have the slightest clue where to look for an OMC replacement, tho I'm sure I can find parts for it if they are still available... pretty sure I have a manual on em too...... OMC drives where crap tho, poor merc imitation....... 95% of drives are a form of merc, 4% volvo's and 1% OMC...

I know we get aftermarket remanned merc bravo 3's imitations for about $1800.. most of them have worked ok... most... might be someone out there with OMC units for a couple grand... might.. i've never looked, VERY rarely do I get an OMC in the yard...

i'd rather get a whole used merc transom plate assembly and swap it over to merc... be better off imo...

yeah, i very very rarely see OMC stuff anymore... right now, I have about 60 bravo 3's to service and install, 10 alpha's, and a 1/2 dozen various Volvo's to do...

I may, MAY have one dead boat (abandoned by owner. marina owns) out in the weeds that has a OMC drive on the back.... OB's, it's about 60% Jap, 25% merc than about 15% E-rude and Johnson's...

not surprised on parts... gimme a holla if ya need any literature scanned or anything...
