Congrats on the move.

Funny, I was in Miramar 98-01 with MWSS-373 and H&HS Miramar. Never made it overseas though, got stuck there during the transition from El Toro and the upstaffing of Miramar. When they lifted the transfer ban from Miramar I was too short time to go anywhere else.

I'd say seriously consider the offer of pblaze or consider taking it home or something. I've heard stories of folks with fullsize American vehicles over there and it seemed like a lot of effort for a whole lot of PITA. My plan if I did end up going overseas was taking a week to drive my Blazer home to Michigan and store it at my folks or dad doing that or just a good spot to stash it with friends in San Diego.
LOTS of crap can happen with shipping a truck across an ocean and it being out of your control that whole time. I had a Gunny who owned a 5.0 Mustang in the early 90's and when coming from Hawaii to El Toro they "lost" her car and the container it was in for a while. Finally they found it in a container stack somewhere near LA. No damage to the car but she was wheel less for a while.

Fock Shoot...You live here by me and drive to Miramar everyday

I drive into Pendleton through Fallbrook and it still takes me a solid hour to get there.

Its 15min to Fallbrook, then 45 minutes of nothing waiting in line to get on base.

I dug up some old Oki pics and re-scanned them. These are about 11 years old so its probably changed alot since then. But it will give you an idea.

These were taken over by Chibana, near Torii Station. We used to play around back there alot. These were when I ended up tearing up the Pajero pretty bad.

As you can see, the trails arent very wide at all there.

And here is a shot of the Pajero at Sunabe seawall. Thats a pretty popular spot to snorkel and dive at.

Here are a couple more from an old Futenma Flightline festival.

Some guys do run around in decent sized rigs (for over there).

Or you can get a Pajero Pug.

Some more strangeness and some Kei car action, all from the flight line festival.
