Dana 60 - Lockrite "clearance issues"

I'm looking at at GM D60 with a Lockrite locker. The current owner mentioned that he ad to do some "clearance" work in the pumpkin to get the lockrite to fit/work properly. I did not geting any hots when searching thiose terms. Is anybody familiar with this requirement to shave parts of the interior to get a lock-rite to fit?

Thanks.

GM of the month Winner
Sometimes the ring gear has to be shaved a bit to get the lock rite in without taking the ring gear off the carrier.
