Towing with big tires

Do you guys think there would be too much strain on a k30's drivetrain if it were turning 44 inch tires while hauling a boat? The estimated weight of this boat+trailer is MAYBE 1100 lbs tops. Tongue weight of almost nothing <100 lbs.
Thanks

Re: Towing with big tires

All depends on your gearing. I think you would be fine, but just be careful of sway.

The gears would be 5.13

I wouldn't worry much about the drivetrain in this situation but the vehicle itself and how it's setup.
Is the drivetrain in a K5 or in the original truck?
Is it lifted too high?
What I am getting at is sway and and squat.

Re: Towing with big tires

This hypothetical k30's only mod is a 4 or 6 inch lift along with the big tires and 5.13 gears. Its a real k30, not something that was parted together. Im guessing things probably would be 'ok'. I just wanted to see what the tow guru's thought.
