Did You know NC\'s new law?

Well it has just been passed and put into place here in NC. If your vehicle is raised over 2" YOU ARE UNABLE TO PASS A NC STATE INSPECTION. I have just learned of this and figured I would pass it on. Talked to the mechanic on base and said this was due to headlights shining in the back of other vehicles. This is not only affecting us lifted guys but the lowriders as well. If they can't drive over this bump they fail as well. I don't know about you but I am pissed off. Don't worry about it and just come home. If you've got a windshield, tag and insurance we don't care what you drive.

Seriously, it sounds like trailer sales are about to go up.

Re: Did You know NC\'s new law?

I'm glad that I moved out of NC years ago. I just have to lower the headlights to max 60" to the centerline. Right now its 61" to the bottom. So here comes the snowplow lights mounted on the bumper in south alabama.

Haven't heard that one. Just got my truck inspected the other day. Hopefully next year my friends shop will still be open for inspections.

Hey David, ever thought about just trying to invert the headlite with the turn signal lights?

Re: Did You know NC\'s new law?

Well I am all ready registered in AL but being in the military I have to have a state inspection to get a pass for base. Since AL doesn't have any type of state inspection I have to get an NC state inspection. Converted to AL tags while I was in CA to weasel a way around the smog out there.

Re: Did You know NC\'s new law?

I have thought of that but it just don't look right. The snowplow lights will be a lot lower. In the near future I will be getting a new front bumper from DP 90K5 so the lights will have to be mounted on it.

Re: Did You know NC\'s new law?

I just got my inspection sticker yesterday with 38s and 6" lift. I guess either things travel up the mountain a little slower, or the shops around here just want their $9.10. So, I guess if y'all need inspected and have big meats and a lift, come up here and gitter done.
