Made it back just fine too Had a great time despite the rain and all. Here's a couple teasers from Sat. on the Carnage run. It all started here on this nasty muddy road that leads to the trailhead where a Jeep got sucked into one of the mudholes.

Buena Vista Trip Report - CARNAGE videos added

First off, I think we all decided - well at least John and I did - wheelin on Sunday sucks! Sorry we left Brigham & John in the dust, but I wanted to get home. I pulled in at 9PM on the dot and promptly started on homework that's due today.

After the big boys ran Carnage on Sunday, firefighter184, 5280k5, bbck5on37s, and B_to_C (in the General) were ready to show their stuff on Old Chinaman's. I don't know the "big boys" sure had troubles with their trail, but we kicked OCG's arse! And being the true hardcore wheelers we are, we even drove our rigs 100+ miles home in the rain. Where's the stick-poking smiley?

The access road into Carnage and OCG was a MESS and a real challenge for the jeep guys. We pulled people out both mornings. Here's some video of that:

Did I mention I hate mud!

We started the trail at 11AM and hit the Gunsmoke at 5PM. The only issue was Anthony's steering, but it didn't slow us down much - which is probably why his arms are sore!

John was loving his front and rear lockers. In the videos and pics, see if you can see the interesting habit he's developed on the trail.

Here are some clips and pics:

Glad to hear the pavement pounders could make it back in one piece.

I was hard core. I drove the buggy from camp to the trail and back to camp. The last half was in the rain as well.

Rain drops hurt your face when your doing 65mph in a rain storm.

Sounds like fun. BTW wheeling on the day your returning home always has potential to suck major. I have rolled in at 4:00am and turned around an hour later to go to work.

Yeah, the whole day I kept thinking it was great that we hadn't had a major break. I didn't dwell on the thought long or voice it out loud because I didn't want to jinx it. Getting home at 4AM would have SUCKED!

At least you don't carry touch-up paint in your toolbox. I don't think that's very "hardcore".
