Blazer Chalet / GMC Jimmy Casa Grande spotted

“Blazer what / Jimmy what spotted???” – go back .here. for a long explanation, and see also .blazerchalet.com..

Meanwhile, I found this photo at .4x4ventures.com. it’s a slow-loading photo intensive web site, don’t for certain know if it is a car sales place, can’t find any more contac?t info for the site owner, he hasn’t answered an email….. anybody seen it in person? Distinctive features are the burnt orange wheels (not common for ‘76s) and maybe the little sticker at the top of the windshield, plus the license plate.

Puh-lease! Maintain the original colors for the purists!. Or, if you install a 2nd set of smaller dia headlights in the grille, you may paint it any color you wish.

Speaking of which, anybody seen a two-tone maroon (?) Chalet in the vicinity of Tishominga, Oklahoma? Photo below came from a tiny thumbnail out of a google image search, an expired link from http://www.tishchevy.com/ Distinguishing features are the colors, aftermarket wheels and chrome fender flares/trim.

That maroon one is kind of sexy! I want to get one eventually. There was one near my mothers place up in Aurora awhile ago. I saw it in the backyard collecting leaves and dust. I was going to ask if the guy if he would sell it, but then the next time I drove by it was gone. I'll see if I can track it down.

Excellent, much appreciated! Bunches more like that around the country just waiting to be spotted & loved...

Meanwhile, here's another - at "dremu" 's brochure & magazine scan site, click on the Treasure Search link http://brochures.slosh.com/index.shtml?chalet Anybody seen the Chalet in that article or know the owner Ken Doe? Most notable features are the Cepek tires, driving lights under the bumper, evap cooler on the roof, black fender flares, and Egyptian icon decorations in the interior. After an extensive google search, I can turn up nothing on the publisher of Treasure Search, Ken Doe or find out anything more about the magazine other than a couple of back issues for sale on eBay. It isn't published anymore (?) According to the article, Ken's primary treasure hunting area was southern California.

Tishminga, IIRC, is a tiny little town in Sounthern OK. No one around here (CK5) porbably seen it. Cool ride to have in a ghetto sence. I'd like to see one in person.

Very likely true. Tishominga is so tiny it doesn't pop up in my google maps search. My next hope is that a location I ask about will also be the same little town where one of you guys' relatives lives, or something like that. Who knows, one of you could recognize a Chalet from these photos being driven or trailered to a place where there is a higher concentrations of ck5.com guys.

Your own area is a bit on the big side, the only one I know about there is a guy who is keeping his '76 Chalet and has been trying to sell his '77 Chalet for over a year now. It's somewhere in the LA area, PM me if you want the phone number.

I only know of one around my area and it could be gone by now. It was on a farm and the barn had toppled over on it and crushed it. I remember seeing it there b4 it got crushed when I was younger. Its been about 4 years since I saw it crushed, and at that time, the collapse of the barn looked recent, so it could be cleaned up and hauled off by now.
