Engine crossmember/panhard kits

Hello everyone, my name is Dave Cubbage. I build engine crossmember/panhard bar setups for the '73 to '91 full size GM trucks.

I custom build these in my spare time as a hobby, more or less, so therefore at this point I don't pump them out in large quanities.

The basic engine crossmember is a stout piece that replaces the factory crossmember and is easily upgraded to utilize a panhard bar by just welding on the p/h bar mounting tabs. This crossmember currently sells for $130 plus shipping.

The crossmember/panhard setup combines the engine crossmember with a panhard bar that really wakes up the steering response on a rig with crossover steering. It pretty much eliminates all bump steer and has been proven to counter death wobble on a couple vehicles that it's been installed on. This setup will work with d44, 10b and d60 axles.
These currently sell for $330 plus shipping.

That part bolts to the axle tube, it's the lower mount for the panhard bar. Yet another thing to add to my "to-buy" list

Have 2 questions for ya. Do they come bare or painted? Also one of the pics shows a crossmember with some fittings of some sort in it, what are those for?

Yep, bolts to the passenger side tube. The bolt you see protruding thru bolts to the u-bolt plate sans sway bar.

I ship them painted with Rustoleum Hammered dark bronze.

The fittings are there to attach the axle vent hose to if you choose to. Just a little extra feature that cleans up some clutter under the front end.

So Dave, can you make that bracket to fit a 3.5 inch dia. axle tube?

My D70:

I don't see any problems with that. In fact, it would make for a beefier bracket due to the larger footprint of the machined u-bolt plate.

Would just have to re-engineer the plate to accomodate the larger axle tube.

How much axle tube length is there available to u-bolt the mount to?
Depending on how long the machined mount can be, we might be able to use only u-bolts to attach to the axle tube.

I'm thinking, maybe machine a mounting plate using 3 or 4 u-bolts.
