What does "CST" stand for?

What do the letters "CST" mean in the Blazer world? specifically for a '72 K5

Yes, it stands for "Custom Sport Truck" like said just ahead of me. It was the top of the line model option, much like a "Silverado" package is today for a 69-72 Blazer. 67-71 trucks highest trim package was the "CST", until the "Cheyenne Super" package was introduced in late 1971. Trevor

I always thought is was for Custom Sport Trim. You know the wood grained aluminum trim around the lower section of the body.

Nope, Custom Sport Truck. CST's and Cheyenne/Cheyenne Super or GMC's Sierra/Sierra Grande were the only packages that originally got the woodgrain. Trevor
