Re: Hydraulic brake booster or Vacuum brake booster ?
I have the hydrolic set-up on my 83. It was a diesel powered truck. As i understand it, the hydrolic set-up is superior to the vacuum. The system is also used in mini-school buses and heavier duty truck lines. The whole hydrolic set-up is worth some money. I priced out replacement parts at pep-boys, the pump alone they wanted 135 bucks......js

Re: Hydraulic brake booster or Vacuum brake booster ?
For me it would be too much of a pain to swap it all and maintain it. Vacuum is just so easy and only a few parts to maintain. It does have a 'cool' factor, and maybe you could use the hydraulics for something else...
Cruisin in my '73. |
